Initially, in an attempt to portray what I like to refer to as true photography, I hardly ever used any filters or effects on my pictures, but lately I find myself doing so more and more. However, I only do so when I see an opportunity to add value to an image. In contrast to how filters and effects have been traditionally used (particularly in commercial photography), the idea here is not to mask the true identity of the image. Rather, my only goal is to add aesthetic value to the image by giving it a dynamic feel it would otherwise have lacked.
